Eyes hit the runways at New York City Fashion Week like never before. Today more than ever, eyes are the most important facial accessory. Trends suggest that this fall, we’ll be seeing a clean face – free of make up with dramatic eyes that boast long extended full lashes, a monochromatic eye shadow and a coral glossed lip.

However, pulling off this simple, but glamorous look is next to impossible if your eyes are not in great shape.

Home to the most anticipated Fall Fashion shows of the season, Paris Fashion Week did not disappoint! Using the always-chic and versatile Goody® Classic Collection Jenna Barrettes, renowned hairstylist Guido Palau used his magic to create unique looks on the legendary runway of Alexander McQueen as well as the Milan-based Prada show.

An estimated 90 percent of the female population is affected by the dimpling peaks and valleys called cellulite. The plaguing C word can be spotted on even the fittest and thinnest set of thighs, so what’s a gal to do to solve the cottage cheese effect? Vichy interviews Dr. Ranella Hirsch for the answers to the cause while offering up a potion poised to firm and tighten for less jiggle in the wiggle.

Here, Dr. Ranella Hirsch, noted Boston dermatologist, explains the facts about cellulite:

Q: Who does cellulite affect and why?

Dr. Hirsch: Women are more predisposed to the appearance of cellulite due to the vertical nature of the fibrous bands binding the fat, which is in contrast to the more net-like appearance of the bands found in men. Also, since women generally have thinner skin than men, we more commonly encounter this frustration among women. Indeed, cellulite remains among the biggest complaints I receive from women on a daily basis. They tell me that what they find particularly frustrating is that no amount of gym time seems to get rid of the bumps.

Q: Which parts of the body are more prone to cellulite and weight gain? Is all cellulite the same?

Dr. Hirsch: The hips, thighs, and buttocks are most prone to cellulite. These areas are where women have a propensity to carry weight gain and are also more resistant to weight loss from dieting.
